South Hokianga

South Hokianga consists of the settlements of Waikara, Waipoua, Wekaweka, Waimamaku, Waiotemarama, Waiwhatawhata, Omapere, Opononi, Pakanae, Koutu, Whirinaki, Rawene, Waima, Taheke and Moehau.

It is connected by SH 12 through the Waipoua Forest to Dargaville and the South, by SH 12 through Taheke to Kaikohe and the East, and by the Ferry from Rawene to the North.
